Crockpot BBQ Chicken Sandwiches with pickled cabbage slaw
Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
1 (8.5 oz) bottle Primal Kitchen BBQ sauce or your favorite brand
1 tbsp coconut sugar, honey, or date syrup
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
4 hamburger buns
Pickled Cabbage Slaw (needs to be made 1 day ahead of time so it can pickle overnight in the fridge)
1/2 head purple or green cabbage
1 carrot
1/2 white onion
1 cup white vinegar
1.5 cups water
2 teaspoons salt
Directions:
Add first 6 ingredients to your crockpot. Cover with the lid and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 7 hours.
Shred with a fork and add any more salt to your own liking. Serve on hamburger buns alongside optional pickled cabbage slaw.
